CongressionalBadBoys.com | home | McInnis Scott McInnis Republican, Colorado (1993-2004) The Honorable Scott McInnis, former member of Congress, was a leading candidate for governor of Colorado, but then did something stupid.  He was commissioned, for a cool $300,000 to write some "policy papers" by the Colorado-based Hasan Family Foundation.  (Anyone smell something foul yet?) McInnis wrote the papers, but trouble is, he lifted sections from the writings of a man who is now on the Supreme Court of Colorado. McInnis blamed some other guy, but finally fessed up to the plagiarism.
