Bob Barr

Republican, Georgia (1995-2002)

The Honorable Bob Barr, hard-nosed Republican conservative from Georgia, brought impeachment charges against Bill Clinton well before the Monica business and hounded the Ethics Committee with charges against the Honorable Gary Condit, calling on him to resign.

As U.S. attorney in Atlanta, Barr also successfully prosecuted the Honorable Pat Swindall on perjury charges in 1986.

In the late 1990s during all the Monica Lewinisky-Bill Clinton titillation, Barr was Mr. Conservative Prig.  "He's the leading spokesperson for the hardest of the hard right," said Norm Ornstein of the American Enterprise Institute.  Barr's been "an attack dog for impeachment from the very beginning," said Professor William Connelly of Washington & Lee University.  "Barr's always been on the fringe, chomping on the bit to remove the president."

Barr espouses conservative, traditional family values.  At the same time, he was married to his third wife.

In 1992, at a Cobb County, Georgia Leukemia Society fund-raiser, Barr where he was seen licking whipped cream off the chest of "two  buxom women."  Bobby boy!
